Bay Book Hub is a response to human’s relationship to data in the terms of architecture. Knowledge is not about a source which people should find and use anymore, but it has been decentralized from a single source and it dispersed between multiple sources in society. Bay Book Hub tries to create a house of the new shape of knowledge for the people who use it every day in different conditions through cellphones, TVs, etc.
In order to respond to the biggest part of the public activities in San Francisco, Bay Book Hub sits next to the Oakland Bay Bridge for the view and public access. This project resides in the boundary between the noises of the city and the sound of water. The mixture of the sound waves from water and city noises creates a multi-level landscape which fades the boundary of the site.
